“Regional Training Workshop on Integrated Geospatial Formation for Mapping Hotspots of the COVID-19 Pandemic in Southeast Asia”

United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia (UNESCAP), Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (Public Organization) or GISTDA, and ASEAN Research and Training Center for Space Technology and Applications (ARTSA) has organized “Regional Training Workshop on Integrated Geospatial Formation for Mapping Hotspots of the COVID-19 Pandemic in Southeast Asia” on 13th July 2021 via Virtual Conference (Google Meet). Mr. Keran Wang, Chief of Space Applications Section (SAS), Information and Communications Technology and Disaster Risk Reduction Division (IDD) from UNESCAP, and Mr. Tatiya Chuentragun, Deputy Executive Director from GISTDA, gave the honor to deliver opening and welcome address for the virtual workshop. This workshop aims to present the COVID-19 pandemic managing system by UNESCAP; transfer knowledge on usage of the system; and exchange knowledge as well as discussion among international scientist communities between participants and experts for contributing common solutions of COVID-19 pandemic. There were 80 international participants to attend this workshop. The participants were from Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, China, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Azerbaijan, Iran, Fiji, and the Solomon Islands.
