Workshop on “Integration of geospatial information for sustainable development in Southeast Asia”
December 17-18, 2020 at GISTDA Training Center (Bang Khen), Bangkok in Thailand and via VDO Conference

UNESCAP and GISTDA under operation of ASEAN Research and Training Center for Space Technology and Applications (ARTSA) organised Workshop on “Integration of geospatial information for sustainable development in Southeast Asia”, which was held between 17th and 18th December 2020 at at GISTDA Training Center (Bang Khen), Bangkok in Thailand and via VDO Conference. The event aimed to exchange knowledge and technological applications on extreme climate challenges, rapidly extending urbanisation and responding for COVID-19 pandemic; and to strengthen networks for brainstorming among sophisticated experts and stakeholders for contributing ideas and common pathway for delivering solutions towards communities.

The workshop was operated in Hybrid pattern, integrating onsite and online participation. There were 86 participants, in public sector, private sector, institutions and intergovernmental organisations in ASEAN region and international organisations, which came from Australia, Cambodia, China, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, South Korea, Spain, Tajikistan, Thailand, United Kingdom, and Vietnam.
