GISTDA and ARTSA with Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific (CSSTEAP) and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), India organised training courses on Crop Classification and Inventory During 1 – 5 April 2024 at GISTDA, Bang Khen In a hybrid format through the ARTSA network collaboration. This training was held to develop the potential of using satellite data in agricultural management and enhance the capacity of GISTDA personnel, government agencies, the private sector, the education sector, both in the country and in the ASEAN region. This is an activity under the MOU between GISTDA and CSSTEAP.
This training was attended by 30 people who were interested in participating in the on-site and 33 online training from government agencies and educational institutions in Thailand and the ASEAN region. Five countries are Cambodia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar and Malaysia. This training is considered promoting human resource development and build international academic cooperation of ARTSA.
